A Unique and Wonderful Stay in a Former Prison! We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully designed hotel, located in a historic former prison. The mix of modern comfort with the character of the old building is truly impressive. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was absolutely delicious—plentiful, varied, and full of fresh options to start the day right. We also really appreciated that our bicycles were safely stored in the secure courtyard, which is locked in the evenings and overnight. One of the best parts: you can walk straight from the hotel into the charming old town of Wismar. The location couldn't be better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something a little different.

A little room with a private shower was perfect for one person. Everything is thought trough so well! There is also a tea kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Shower gel and shampoo is also there in dispensers. There is enough light and air coming from 2 small windows. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. The place has modern system of card entry to the building and a room. The location is nice and mostly quiet.

Very cool & unusual concept of the prison re-purpose, nice touch of the owners sharing history of the building and renovation works. Great breakfast, comfy beds, easy self check-in. Also amazing location just a short walk from all major sights of Wismar.

Exceptional lodge in a former jail, modern comfortable (albeit small) ensuite rooms that used to be jail cells. Bunk beds. Good WiFi, very good breakfast. Location within easy walking distance of the central square. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

Super interesting room in an old jail. The small cells are very very well designed and modern, with all you need to a good stay near to all the historic places. For a solo traveler is perfect if you wanted a different kind of hotel. Great!

Very good location, in the city center. The check in was super easy and fast, all digital. Practical when you arrive late. The building is an old prison restructured in a hotel, it was interesting to see and experience.

Location was good. Clean, everything we needed was there. Easy to park by the church. Breakfast was great.

Former prison or detention centre turned hostel. Our cell was super tiny, not for a longer stay but for us for one night we had everything we needed. Good location, street parking in front of the building, self check-in. All great!

Interesting place in an old prison. In the small cells there is not much space (obviously - it is a prison cell!), but it is well designed. The atmosphere at this place is different than most other hotels. Quite an experience.
